Ved vandvejkrydset Minden ledes Mittellandkanalen over Weser i næsten 400 meter lange akvæduktbroer. Kanaloverfladen ligger cirka 13 meter over Weser. Dette sparer kanalen for ned- og opstigning til/fra Weserdalen. Vandvejkrydset ligger inden for et 174 km langt slusefrit afsnit af kanalen. Kanalen er tilsluttet Weser via to korte forbindelseskil med sluser.
