Bielefeld Botaniske Have ligger på sydsiden af Kahlenberg, som tilhører Teutoburger Wald i det sydvestlige byområde Ostwestfalen.
Parken er åben hele året, og entréen er gratis.
Den blev grundlagt i 1912 som en udvidelse til Johanniskirkegården, indtil man opdagede den usædvanlige plantevariation på stedet. I de følgende år blev der sået første nye planter, så haven allerede i 1915 indeholdt 500 forskellige arter.
