Stationsbygningen i Unkel, bygget i 1870, er en station på den højre breddes jernbanelinje og er den eneste station i byen Unkel. Stationen har tre spor ved to perroner. Regionaltransporten er organiseret af transportselskabet Rhein-Sieg.
Efter at den venstre side af Rhinen jernbanelinje blev færdigbygget i 1858, begyndte man også konstruktionen af den højre jernbanelinje fra Beuel til Neuwied. Der var diskussioner om, hvilke stop der skulle være mellem Honnef og Linz. Byerne Erpel, Rheinbreitbach og Unkel ønskede hver især et stoppested. Jernbaneselskabet ønskede oprindeligt ikke at godkende nogen stop. Efter protest fra borgmesteren og amtsborgmesteren fik Unkel først og senere Erpel sin jernbanestation.
