Contra-Kreis-teatret er det ældste privatteater i Bonn. Det blev grundlagt af Gustav Kurt Hoffmann og åbnede den 20. maj 1950 med stykket Hamlet. I 1966 måtte det på sit daværende sted vige pladsen for det nye Rådhus. Siden da har det haft sin plads ved siden af hovedbygningen på Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universitetet i Bonn. Der spilles komedier, musicals og aktuelle stykker af unge forfattere.
