Briloner Sognekirke St. Petrus og Andreas blev i 1925 ophøjet til provstesogn. Den ligger, set fra torvet, lidt forhøjet bag rådhuset. Den mægtige, vidt synlige vesttårn i hallenkirken betragtes som et vartegn for Brilon. Kirken blev bygget i år 1220. Efter byggeriet omkring 1250 blev det lille vesttårn erstattet af det nuværende tidlige gotiske tårn. Den 31 m høje barokkuppel fik det sandsynligvis i 1665 under udbygningen af klokketårnet. En betydelig kunstskatt betragtes som det kobberbelagte Pankratius-kors (omkring 1100). Blandt de bevarede malerier fra det 14. århundrede er et bemærkelsesværdigt portræt af den hellige Kristoffer i det sydlige tværskib. Kunsthistorisk interessante er også portalerne, hvis søjler har skarpe riller: sjældne spor af den arkaiske sabelfilning. Tårbestegninger fra maj til oktober mulig.
