De Briloner parochiekerk St. Petrus en Andreas werd in 1925 tot proskerk verheven. Ze ligt, gezien vanaf de markt, iets verhoogd achter het raadhuis. De machtige, van ver zichtbare westtoren van de hallenkerk wordt beschouwd als het symbool van Brilon. De bouw van de kerk begon in het jaar 1220. Na de bouw rond 1250 werd de kleine westtoren vervangen door de huidige vroege gotische toren. De 31 meter hoge barokke koepel kreeg hij waarschijnlijk in 1665 tijdens de verbouwingen van de campanile. Een belangrijke kunstschat is het kopergouden Pankratius-kruis (circa 1100). Tot de bewaarde muurschilderingen uit de 14e eeuw behoort een opmerkelijk portret van de heilige Christophorus in het zuidelijke transept. Kunsthistorisch interessant zijn ook de portalen, waarvan de kolommen scherpe rimpels vertonen: zeldzame sporen van archaïsche zwaardafslijping. Torenbeklimmingen zijn mogelijk van mei tot oktober.
