Borgen Blankenheim er en slotskompleks ovenfor kommunen Blankenheim i Eifel. Den blev bygget som en højborg omkring år 1115 af Gerhard I og var stamsted for familien von Blankenheim.
Herrerne von Blankenheim blev i 1380 ophøjet til grevestanden. Efter døden af den sidste regerende greve von Blankenheim fra huset loon-heinsberg, Wilhelm II, arvede Dietrich III, greve af Manderscheid, i 1468 grevskabet Blankenheim og herredet Schleiden samt Gerhardstein gennem sin kone og kaldte sig fra 1469 greve af Manderscheid og Blankenheim. Han delte sin ejendom i 1488 mellem sine tre sønner, hvor den anden søn, greve Johann, arvede grevskabet Blankenheim, Jünkerath, borgen Gerolstein og dele af herredet Mechernich og grundlagde linjen Manderscheid-Blankenheim-Gerolstein.
