Skovkirkegården Grünau ligger på Rabindranath-Tagore-Straße 18–20 i forlængelse af Horst-Kunze-Weg i bydelen Grünau i den berlinske bydel Treptow-Köpenick. En anden adgang er mulig fra den forlængede Kablower Weg, skovside fra retning Bohnsdorf. Kirkegården blev anlagt i 1920/21 ved den berlinske byskov Grünau og dækker et areal på 27.800 m².
I 1749 grundlagde fire kolonistfamilier fra Pfalz bosættelsen ved den Grønne Aue, som blev anlagt på befaling af den preussiske konge Friedrich den Store, tæt på forsthuet Steinbinde ved den Lange Sø. Grünau havde indtil 1906 ingen egen kirke, men var kirkelig tilknyttet menigheden og landsbykirken i Bohnsdorf. I begyndelsen blev de få afdøde fra Grünau derfor begravet på Bohnsdorf landsbykirkegård.
