Plößnitz er en bydel i byen Laucha ved Unstrut i Burgenlandkreis, Sachsen-Anhalt. Byen ligger sydvest for byen Laucha ved forbindelsesvejen til Burkersroda. Plößnitz blev den 1. april 1959 indlemmet i Laucha ved Unstrut.
Byen Plößnitz er et sted af slavisk oprindelse og blev første gang nævnt skriftligt i 1396 som Plesenitz. Byen tilhørte, beliggende i Amt Freyburg, med sin frie adelsbolig, herrerne von Laucha. I middelalderen hørte Plößnitz under bispedømmet Naumburg. Således gav biskoppen af Naumburg den 7. december 1449 Werner von Rockhausen og hans fætter Eiffurt ret til landsbyen Plönsnitz med alt tilbehør, domsret osv. Byen tilhørte ejendommen til de familier, der boede på godset Kirchscheidungen, indtil 1712, da den gik til von Rockhausen og derefter til familien von der Schulenburg på Burgscheidungen indtil 1945.
