Kaatschen er en del af Kaatschen-Weichau, en bydel i kommunen Großheringen i Landkreis Weimarer Land i Thüringen.
Kaatschen ligger øst for Saale og jernbanelinjen Berlin-München direkte ved flodbredden, nord for Camburg og syd for Bad Sulza. Landskabsområdet for landsbyen ligger på flodenge i floddalen og muslingekalkvejringsrige skråninger. Gennem en forbindelsesvej ved krydsning af en flod- og jernbaneovergang til Weichau er stedet forbundet med landevejen 1061. Herfra når man motorvejene 87 og 88. Saale-cykelruten berører landsbyen.
