Nochten, obersorbisk, er den nordligste og størst beliggende bydel i den øst-saksiske kommune Boxberg/O.L. i Landkreis Görlitz. Den i Lusatian brunkulområde og i sorbisk bosættelsesområde liggende kirkeby Nochten betegnes af Weißwasser rektor Robert Pohl i hans i 1924 udgivne lokalhistoriske bog om Kreis Rothenburg O.-L. som „et ægte hedebarn“.
Den vejgård Nochten er omgivet af åbent kulbrud i nord og vest samt kraftværket Boxberg i sydvest. Nordøst for byens placering findes på en renatureret del af kulbruddet Findlingspark Nochten.
