Zanthier-pladsen er en af de første stationer på Heinrich-Heine-stien fra Ilsenburg til Brocken. Et mindesmærke til ære for forstmester Hans Dietrich von Zanthier står i en lysning. Han var en af grundlæggerne af moderne skovbrug og åbnede den første skovbrugsskole i Tyskland omkring år 1764 i Ilsenburg.
Der er også et lille ly på Zanthier-pladsen. Den, der skal tage en pause her, bør ikke begynde på stien til toppen af Brocken.
