Den tidligere Sangerhausen Kommune var en kommune i den sydlige del af delstaten Sachsen-Anhalt. Den 1. juli 2007 blev den i forbindelse med reformen af kommunernes struktur i Sachsen-Anhalt fusioneret med Mansfelder Land til den nye kommune Mansfeld-Südharz. Nabokommunerne var mod nord kommunerne Quedlinburg og Mansfelder Land, mod øst kommune Merseburg-Querfurt, og mod syd og vest de thüringske kommuner Kyffhäuser og Nordhausen.
Af de oprindeligt 8 forvaltningfællesskaber bestod der ved opløsningen af kommunen stadig 3 forvaltningfællesskaber. I samme periode faldt antallet af kommuner fra 52 til 40.
