Shelterpladsen er beregnet til 30 personer og er beliggende i det naturskønne istidslandskab i Kelstrup Plantage ved Kelstrup Naturskole. Pladsen er fortrinsvis beregnet til kommunale skoler og institutioner i Aabenraa Kommune. Private og andre har dog også mulighed for, at booke shelterpladsen med tilhørende toiletter og adgang til drikkevand. Udover shelterpladsen er der mulighed for, at booke bålhytte og andet primitivt udstyr. Brænde kan samles i skovbunden eller købes på naturskolen. Shelterpladsen bookes via naturskolen.
