De schuilplaats is berekend op 30 personen en is gelegen in het schilderachtige landschap van de laatste ijstijd in Kelstrup Plantage bij Kelstrup Natuurschool. De plaats is voornamelijk bedoeld voor gemeentelijke scholen en instellingen in de gemeente Aabenraa. Particulieren en anderen hebben echter ook de mogelijkheid om de schuilplaats met bijbehorende toiletten en toegang tot drinkwater te reserveren. Naast de schuilplaats is het mogelijk om een vuurhut en ander primitief materiaal te reserveren. Hout kan verzameld worden in de bosbodem of gekocht worden bij de natuurschool. De schuilplaats wordt gereserveerd via de natuurschool. Overnachting kost 35 kr. per persoon voor particulieren en niet-gemeentelijke instellingen.
