Fortanete er en lokalitet og kommune i Aragonien, beliggende i den turolense kommune Maestrazgo i Spanien. Den ligger i en højde af 1353 m over havets overflade og har et areal på 168,21 km² og en befolkning på 204 indbyggere.
Fortanete er beliggende i dalen af floden Fortanete, beskyttet af to robuste bjergkæder, Sierra de la Cañada og Sierras de Tarrascón-Las Lastras. På sine flade og massive toppe, over 1700 meter højde, opstår de kløfter, som talrige kløfter har udgravet i skråningerne som dybe indskæringer.
