Alforja er en kommune og by i Spanien, beliggende i provinsen Tarragona i Catalonien. Den tilhører regionen Bajo Campo og har en befolkning på 1799 indbyggere og ligger ved foden af et bjergrigt område.
Oprindelsen til befolkningen var en gammel gård eller arabisk alquería, der drev nogle gamle sølvminer. De første skrevne dokumenter om Alforja stammer fra 1152, hvor det nævnes i et pergament af Ramón Berenguer IV. I området er der fundet kogepile og neolitiske gravsteder langs Huertas-stien, samt rester af en gammel romersk bebyggelse ved *Barqueres. En romersk befæstning var sandsynligvis oprindelsen til den kommende borg.
