Kolonien Santa Eulalia[1] er en lille bydel beliggende mellem kommunerne Sax og Villena, 480 meter over havet.[2] Den opdelt grænse mellem de to kommuner udgøres af Salinas-gaden; mod nord hører til Villena og mod syd til Sax. Dens konstruktion begyndte i slutningen af det 19. århundrede som følge af koloniloven fra 1868 og inden for rammerne af utopisk socialism, og i dag er den semi-forladt, med mange af de vigtigste bygninger i en fremskreden tilstand af forfald.[3]
