La Colonie de Santa Eulalia[1] est une localité située entre la commune de Sax et celle de Villena, à 480 m d'altitude.[2] La ligne de démarcation entre les deux communes est formée par la rue de Salinas ; au nord, elle correspond à Villena et au sud, à Sax. Sa construction a commencé à la fin du XIXe siècle à la suite de la loi sur les colonies de 1868 et dans le cadre du socialisme utopique, et elle se trouve actuellement semi-abandonée, avec de nombreux bâtiments principaux dans un état avancé de détérioration.[3]
