Den i 1971 færdigbyggede Finlandia-Hal, baseret på et design af arkitekten og byplanlæggeren Alvar Aalto, er en koncert- og kongresbygning og er i dag et af vartegnene i Helsinki. Byggestilen er - typisk for Finland - funktionelt orienteret og giver en livlig kontrast til det ofte melankolske landskab. Halens hovedauditorium har plads til 1.750 besøgende. Hallerne, der ligger på den sydlige bred af bugten Töölönlahti, er dækket med hvid Carrara-marmor og fanger allerede fra langt væk opmærksomheden. Det barske klima i Finland har dog sat marmorpladerne på prøve, så de fleste plader måtte i mellemtiden blive udskiftet.
