Burnhaupt-le-Haut er en kommune i den periurbane krone af Mulhouse, beliggende i den administrative kreds Haut-Rhin og, siden 1. januar 2021, i området for den europæiske samfund Alsace, i regionen Grand Est.
Burnhaupt-le-Haut er en del af distriktet Thann-Guebwiller, af kommunen og dalen Masevaux. Beliggende et par hundrede meter fra Doller-flodens bred ved indgangen til Sundgau, har kommunen et vej- og motorvejsknudepunkt, der placerer den ideelt.
Cernay ligger 9 km væk, Thann 13 km, Masevaux 14 km, Mulhouse 16 km. Landsbyen Burnhaupt-le-Haut ligger tre kilometer fra den industrielle zone ved Pont d'Aspach og tæt ved motorvejen A36, der forbinder Strasbourg-Colmar-Sélestat-Mulhouse-Belfort-Lyon.
