Grand Wintersberg ligger cirka fire kilometer nordvest for Niederbronn-les-Bains. Bjergmassivet adskiller dalene fra Falkensteinerbach og Schwarzbach. På sin top, som er bygget af buntsandsten, står et 25 m højt udsigtstårn, der giver vandrere en fremragende panoramaudsigt over Nordvogeserne, Pfälzerwald og Oberrheinebene helt over til Schwarzwald. Ved meget god sigt er Mönch og Altels to schweiziske alpe-toppe synlige.
