The chapel was once a place of pilgrimage. It has been extensively restored and retains its three-sided apse. Its name is first mentioned in 1274, when a certain Jean de la Garde d'Angers took an emphyteutic lease on a vineyard belonging to the abbey of Chaloché, which in turn had received it from Hugues de Matheflon. In 1320, Hugues Lejean, one of the first lords, founded a chapel on this site, dedicated to the Virgin and all the saints.
Open to the public during the European Heritage Days.
