Molsheim is a historic city in the Alsatian vineyards and Vosges foothills. It has been marked by the various monuments and establishments of religious congregations: Carthusian monks, Jesuits, Dominicans and Capuchins, its industrial epics: Bugatti, Coulaux, etc., its guilds (Metzig), and its winegrowers. Molsheim has kept its authentic soul through the centuries, thanks to its architecture and its terroirs.
Anne-Catherine and Guy Salomon welcome you to this 16th-century Alsatian bourgeois house, "La cour des Capucins", where you'll find a comfortable apartment with an understated decor that combines tradition and modernity. The apartment is named "tulipe des vignes" (vine tulip) in homage to this flower that had disappeared, and which, thanks to the city's organic winegrowers, comes back into bloom in spring.
The housing is part of an ecologically sustainable development. The half-timbered house has been renovated to respect both ancient and modern environmental practices. The walls of the apartment are treated with lime from a quarry in the village of Dahlenheim, 7 km from Molsheim, while the old wood in the bedroom and bathroom comes from a Comté cheese-maker in the Jura region. All cleaning products are certified, and you also have the option of sorting and composting your waste.
