Acol er en landsby og civil sogn i Thanet District i Kent, England, cirka 1,5 miles syd for Birchington. Det er en af de mindste samfund i Kent, og gennem årene er store dele af sognet blevet overført til andre nærliggende samfund. Acol ligger lige nord for den vestlige ende af landingsbanen ved Manston Lufthavn.
Betingelserne for arbejdere i hele Kent ved slutningen af Napoleonskrigene forværredes til det punkt, hvor uroligheder førte til starten på Swing-oprøret i 1833–4. Samtidig forlod mange arbejdere Kent, ofte med hjælp fra deres sogneråd, der ikke ønskede at fortsætte med at støtte dem, for at tage nye liv i kolonierne i Nordamerika og især Australien og New Zealand.
