Knighton er en mellemstor by i østlige Wales, i det administrative amt og det ceremonielle bevarede amt Powys. Byen har 3.901 indbyggere. Den walisiske navn, Tref-y-clawdd, betyder bogstaveligt talt "byen ved diget". Henvisende til Offa's dyke.
Powys ligger på ruten af LAW Offa's Dyke Path. Desuden er det også startpunktet for en anden stor rute gennem Wales, Glyndwr's Way. Knighton - Weststreet - huser også Offa's Dyke Centre, et udstillingsrum for Offa's Dyke Path. Desuden er her turistkontoret (VVV) lokaliseret.
