Gerenia, eller Gerena, eller Gerenus eller Gerenos, var en by i det gamle Messenia, hvor, ifølge græsk mytologi, Nestor siges at være blevet opdraget efter ødelæggelsen af Pylos, og hvorfra han fik tilnavnet Gerenian, som forekommer så ofte i Homers Iliaden. Der er imidlertid ikke nogen by med dette navn nævnt i Homer, og mange af de gamle kritikere identificerede den senere Gerenia med den homeriske Enope.
