Gerenia, o Gerena, o Gerenus o Gerenos, era una città dell'antica Messenia, dove, secondo la mitologia greca, si diceva che Nestor fosse stato allevato dopo la distruzione di Pilo, e da cui derivò il soprannome Gerenian, che appare così frequentemente nell'Iliade di Omero. Tuttavia, non c'è nessuna città con questo nome menzionata in Omero, e molti dei critici antichi identificavano la Gerenia successiva con l'enope omerica.
