Plateauet af llei er et frugtbart bassin i en højde af ca. 200 m over havets overflade. Det er et eksempel på et lille intramontant bassin. Intramontante bassiner er låst mellem de omgivende bjerge, men er ikke indelukket, som doline of Didyma lige vest for det. Så de har hydrologisk åbning via dale til havet. Dette er også tilfældet her. Der er et par dale, der skærer ind i kanten af bassin. En af dem er floden Thermisia.
