Het plateau van llei is een vruchtbaar bassin op een hoogte van ongeveer 200 meter boven zeeniveau. Het is een voorbeeld van een klein intramontaan bekken. Intramontane bekkens zijn opgesloten tussen omliggende bergen, maar zijn niet ingesloten, zoals de doline van Didyma net ten westen ervan. Ze hebben dus een hydrologische opening via valleien naar de zee. Dit is hier ook het geval. Er zijn een paar valleien die in de randen van het bassin snijden. Een daarvan is de rivier van Thermisia .
