Appeldijk danner et langt bånd langs floden Linge med gamle højstam æbletræer på begge sider. Da træerne står et stykke lavere på skråningen af dæmningen, er blomsterne i øjenhøjde. Under træerne står en overdådighed af skvalderkål, hvilket gør dette til et stort blomsterhav. Nederst på dæmningen ligger sumpede kær fulde af piletræer. Langs hele dæmningen bliver du ledsaget af et højt fuglekor.
