El Appeldijk forma una larga franja a lo largo del río Linge, con viejos manzanos de alta copa a ambos lados. Como los árboles están un poco más bajos en la pendiente del dique, las flores están a la altura de los ojos. Bajo los árboles hay una abundancia de borrajas, lo que convierte este lugar en un gran mar de flores. Al pie del dique hay juncales pantanosos llenos de chopos de tocones. A lo largo de todo el dique, te acompaña un bullicioso coro de aves.
