Der Appeldijk bildet ein langes Band entlang des Flusses Linge, gesäumt von alten Hochstamm-Apfelbäumen auf beiden Seiten. Da die Bäume etwas tiefer am Hang des Deichs stehen, befinden sich die Blüten auf Augenhöhe. Unter den Bäumen wächst ein Überfluss an Geißblatt, was diesen Ort zu einem riesigen Blumenmeer macht. Am Fuße des Deichs liegen moorige Weiden voller Kopfweiden. Entlang des gesamten Deichs wirst du von einem lauten Vogelchor begleitet.
