Slusen i Prinses Margrietkanalen blev taget i brug i 1952, hvilket betød, at Lemstersluis i Lemmer fik mindre skibstrafik at håndtere. Bygningen er egnet til erhvervs- og fritidsfartøjer til og fra IJsselmeer. Slusen har en længde på 260 meter og en bredde på 16 m. I midten af 1990'erne blev der bygget en ny høj bro her. Slusens og broens dimensioner tillader brug af skibe i klasse Va.
