Dette monument med metallisk mindeplade står på stedet, hvor fort Frederik Hendrik blev forstærket med en kystbatteri med 4 kanoner som en del af Atlantvolden i anden verdenskrig.
Under navnet Stützpunkt Hendrik stod dette batteri for forsvaret af udmundingen af Schelde. I 1954 blev alle arbejder ryddet op og havdæmningen blev forstærket.
