Den Internationale Orienteringsforbund er en international konføderation af nationale orienteringsløbsforbund. Hovedaktiviteterne organiseres via udvalg, som hver især er ansvarlige for et aspekt af den globale udvikling af sporten. IOF sponsorerer et bredt udvalg af internationale orienteringsløbs konkurrence, herunder verdensmesterskabet i orienteringsløb.
IOF blev grundlagt i 1961. De stiftende nationale medlemmer var Bulgarien, Tjekkoslovakiet, Danmark, Forbundsrepublikken Tyskland, Den Tyske Demokratiske Republik, Finland, Ungarn, Norge, Sverige og Schweiz. I 2007 voksede antallet af medlemmer af IOF til toogtredive nationale orienteringsløbsforbund, der alle repræsenterer de seks beboede kontinenter i verden.
