Havnen i Koper er den eneste havn i Slovenien. I 2008 havde havnen en omsætning på 16 millioner tons. Havnen ejes af og drives af havneselskabet Luka Koper. På grund af forbindelsen til Adriaterhavet og sin placering er havnen i Koper vigtig for både Central- og Østeuropa. Koper ligger kun 11 km fra den mere kendte Trieste i Italien.
