Der Tauerntunnel ist ein 6546 Meter langer Straßentunnel der Tauern Autobahn A 10. Gemeinsam mit dem Katschbergtunnel ist er ein wichtiger Bestandteil der Route von Villach nach Salzburg.Der Abschnitt zwischen Katschberg- und Tauerntunnel inklusive der Durchfahrung der beiden Tunnel selbst ist eine sogenannte Sondermautstrecke und schlägt derzeit mit 13,00 Euro zu Buche. Der Streckenabschnitt ist, wie alle anderen Sondermautstrecken in Österreich, von der Vignettenpflicht ausgenommen.
