Das ehemalige Hotel und Terrassen-Café Blauensteiner befindet sich im Garser Ortsteil Thunau am Kamp, Taborgasse 8. Sein Vorgänger das „Hotel Šimunek“ war um 1899 als erstes Thunauer Hotel für die Entwicklung der Kamptal-Sommerfrische Gars essentiell. Das Hotel-Gebäude hat seit Bestehen eine direkte Stiegenverbindung zur Villengasse, die parallel zur Kamptalbahn-Trasse und dem Kamp verläuft. Der das Aussehen prägende Terrassenvorbau wurde erst um 1926 ergänzt. Seit 1992 der Hotelbetrieb eingestellt wurde, verfällt das nicht denkmalgeschützte, aber zeit- und architekturgeschichtlich interessante Gebäude.
