Die Pfarrkirche, die 1902-1904 nach einem Entwurf des Architekten Edward Careels errichtet wurde, ist im neugotischen Stil gehalten. Der Aufriß der Kirche, nämlich eine dreischiffige Hallenkirche mit Kreuzrippengewölben, gilt laut T. Coomans als eine Ausnahme im Kontext der neugotischen Kirchenarchitektur. Sie wurde aus weißem Kalkstein aus den Steinbrüchen von Montauban (Luxemburg) errichtet, einem Material, das das Werk von Careels kennzeichnet. Die Kirche und das zugehörige Pfarrhaus, ebenfalls nach dem Entwurf desselben Architekten von 1906, bilden ein harmonisches Ganzes am Stadtrand am Ende des Ringstraßens um Lier.
