La iglesia parroquial de 1902-1904, diseñada por el arquitecto Edward Careels, fue construida en estilo neogótico. La elevación de la iglesia, a saber, una iglesia de tres naves con bóvedas de crucería, es según T. Coomans una excepción dentro del contexto de la construcción de iglesias neogóticas. Fue construida con piedra caliza blanca de las canteras de Montauban (Luxemburgo), un material que caracteriza la obra de Careels. La iglesia y la vicaría adyacente, también diseñadas por el mismo arquitecto en 1906, forman un todo armónico situado en la periferia de la ciudad al final de la circunvalación alrededor de Lier.
