La chiesa parrocchiale, costruita tra il 1902 e il 1904 su progetto dell'architetto Edward Careels, è stata realizzata in stile neogotico. La struttura della chiesa, ovvero una chiesa a navate triple con volte a crociera, è secondo T. Coomans un'eccezione nel contesto dell'architettura neogotica. È stata costruita in pietra calcarea bianca delle cave di Montauban (Lussemburgo), un materiale che caratterizza il lavoro di Careels. La chiesa e il relativo parrocchia progettati dallo stesso architetto nel 1906 formano un tutto armonioso situato al margine della città, alla fine della circonvallazione intorno a Lier.
