Man findet dort: einen Saal, der der regionalen Geologie gewidmet ist, einen Raum, der die wirtschaftlichen, historischen und sozialen Aspekte des Abbaus des Schleifsteins * Coticule in unserer Region veranschaulicht; die restaurierte Werkstatt.
Der * Coticule ist eine Gesteinsformation, die nirgendwo sonst auf der Welt, außer hier in der Region, zu finden ist. Dieses Gestein mit sehr dünnen Adern, zwischen 2 und 4 cm dick, in der lila Phyllad eingekittet, besteht hauptsächlich aus sehr feinen Granatkörnern, die durch eine art tonähnlichen Zement zusammengehalten werden. Die blassgelbe Farbe ist typisch für das Mineral. Der Schleifstein aus der Region Vielsalm war so bekannt, dass er in alle Länder der Welt exportiert wurde.
