An dieser Stelle, an der Ecke der Ten Bunderenstraat und der Oude Heiweg, stand seit Mitte des 13. Jahrhunderts das "Gasthuis ten Bunderen", wo 4 weibliche Religiose mit der Aufnahme von Pilgern beschäftigt waren. Während des Bildsturms (1578) mussten sie in die Gegend von Lille fliehen. An der Stelle des zerstörten Gasthauses steht jetzt ein Hof. Auf der Wiese daneben, links, sind noch die Fundamente eines der Klostergebäude erhalten.
