Dieser Friedhof wurde im Juni 1917 eröffnet, als eine Erweiterung des Vlamertinghe Military Cemetery wegen Platzmangels nicht mehr möglich war und als Vorbereitung auf die große Offensive (Dritte Schlacht bei Ypern). Der Friedhof blieb bis Oktober 1918 in Gebrauch. Die meisten Gräber stammen aus der Zeit von Juli bis Dezember 1917. In Vlamertinge waren viele Artillerieeinheiten stationiert, was erklärt, dass 884 der 1820 Toten zur Artillerie gehörten.
