Mariekerke ist ein Dorf in der belgischen Provinz Antwerpen und ein Teilgemeinde der Gemeinde Bornem. Mariekerke war bis zur Gemeindereform von 1977 eine eigenständige Gemeinde. Mariekerke existiert seit 1228 als eines der vier Kerndörfer des Herrschaftsgebiets Baasrode unter dem Namen O.L.V. Baserode Sinte-Marie und gehörte zum Land Dendermonde. Auch hatte es in dieser Zeit zwei bekannte Anlegestellen an der Schelde, nämlich "Het Leg" und "Berdonk". Später gehörte es zum Land Bornem. In dieser Zeit gehörte auch ein Streifen des Scheldeufer zwischen Branst und Weert zum Gebiet. Ab dem 16. Jahrhundert hatte Mariekerke seinen eigenen Priester.
