Dieses Dorf hat eine Verbindung zu Hergé. Marie-Léonie Dewigne, die Mutter von Hergé und seinem Zwillingsbruder, war früher Kammermädchen bei Gräfin Errembault de Dudzeele. Die Zwillinge verbrachten ihre gesamte Kindheit bei ihrer Mutter auf dem Anwesen der Gräfin in Chaumont-Gistoux.
Es wird regelmäßig spekuliert, wer der Vater der Zwillinge war, da dieser nicht bekannt ist. Da Leopold II. hier oft zu Besuch war, wird er als potenzieller Vater von Hergé betrachtet. Aber das wurde nie bewiesen.
