Der Vogelzangbeek bildet die Grenze zwischen Anderlecht im Brüsseler Gebiet und Sint-Pieters-Leeuw im Flämischen Gebiet. Der Wasserlauf entspringt am Plateau von Vlezenbeek und mündet 9 km weiter in die Zuunbeek, einen Nebenfluss der Senne.
Der Bach ist einer der wenigen, der nie begradigt wurde? Allein das macht ihn von großer Bedeutung für die ökologische und landschaftliche Qualität. Hier kann man sehen, wie ein nicht standardisierter Wasserlauf aussieht. Nicht selbstverständlich im flämischen Land und was für ein Kontrast beispielsweise zur Zuunbeek.
