Der heutige neoromanische Bau stammt aus der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jh. und ersetzt eine alte Kapelle. Er wird bestimmt von räumlichen Verhältnissen, die für die Architektur an der Maas des 11. und 12. Jh. charakteristisch sind.
Ein alter Friedhof umgibt die Kirche.
Im Inneren ist die mit Schablone gemalte Holzdecke zu beachten. Die erst kürzlich neu gestrichene Kirche vermittelt einen Eindruck von Frische. Die in den 60ger Jahren ausgelagerten Statuen und der Kreuzweg haben jetzt ihren Platz im Gebäude wiedergefunden.
