La attuale costruzione neoromanica risale alla metà del XIX secolo e sostituisce una vecchia cappella. Un antico cimitero circonda la chiesa.
All'interno colpisce il soffitto in legno dipinto con stencil. Grazie a un recente ridipinto, la chiesa dà un'impressione molto fresca. Le statue della Via Crucis furono rimosse negli anni '60, ma sono state nel frattempo ristabilite.
